More about Coach Alec

Your favorite part about coaching volleyball?
Seeing someone’s face light up after that moment of endless hours of hard work, perseverance and concentration when a certain component of a skill “clicks” and what they were once believing was impossible, is suddenly possible. Seeing them jump that mental hurdle is what gives me the drive to go out on the floor and coach every day.

Favorite VB memory
Going 10-0 in our qualifier and qualifying for Nationals last year was incredible. Seeing the team beyond excited for this opportunity and raring to tackle to next challenge was absolutely incredible.

Why Wisconsin Premier Volleyball Club?
I remember moving here all the way from Pennsylvania and not knowing anyone. When I was invited to coach a camp this past summer for Premier, I was unsure what to expect but I kept my mind open. When I walked into the gym and felt at home coaching, being welcomed by each and every other coach within that gymnasium was mind bending. I’ve never felt like anyone has ever been so keen on creating something special, something as gratifying as Wisconsin Premier coaches express. Long story short, the staff and pillars we represent made choosing Wisconsin Premier a no-brainer.

What do you do outside of volleyball?
Currently working multiple jobs and pursuing my degree in Education at UWM
On top of that, you can always find me listening to all kinds of music, reading Harry Potter novels and, well, watching volleyball and drinking coffee. Some passions just become a part of everything you do! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
