Your favorite part about coaching volleyball?
I enjoy working with female athletes teaching and educating them about the game of volleyball, preventing injuries, healthy lifestyle, and being a role model for them. I also enjoy developing players and watching them compete on and off the court.
Favorite VB memory?
My favorite memory of volleyball has been as a coach riding the bus to games and tournaments, spending the day coaching and with my team making memories. Another favorite memory was when I played volleyball in high school, after matches we had poster boards with sticker awards to show accomplishments for each match and throughout the year.
Why Wisconsin Premier Volleyball Club?
Alex recruited me to coach for Premier this year. I have known Alex for several years and met him through my husband. I have only been involved with Premier for about 1 month now and during Tune-Up and the first round of tryouts I have met some great people who are positive, outgoing, great attitudes, and willing to help out any coach. I am looking forward to getting to know staff better and starting this volleyball season!
What do you do outside of volleyball?
My full time job I work as a Health Educator for Molina Healthcare in Milwaukee, WI. I work with members assessing their health status, educating, and providing resources. I am a Certified National Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach and I am currently running a 1 year long program with Medicaid members. I also work part time for adult volleyball league as a Program Director for the Grafton Parks and Recreation Department and at Kwik Trip. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, camping, hiking, crafting, and spending time my husband and my rescue dog.
